Redept assisted Alliander in the leasing of the second part of this BREEAM-certified warehouse. In 2019, Redept already leased approximately 25,000 m².
The energy transition, in combination with economic growth, the enormous housing challenge and rapid digitisation of society, is leading to more and more bottlenecks in the electricity grid. As a result, tens of thousands of new transformer houses will have to be built in the coming years, hundreds of new transformer stations and tens of thousands of kilometers of extra cable will have to be laid. It is a major logistical challenge to get all the materials at the right time for all activities. With the expansion of this centrally located distribution centre, people and materials can be deployed more efficiently so that the network operator can respond in a timely and smart way to the high demand.
By leasing this expansion, Alliander now leases the entire project which was completed by Intospace early in 2021. It is a ‘state of the art’ logistics complex with a BREEAM Excellent New Construction Certificate. In total, it contains approximately 30,000 m² warehousing and 4,500 m² of office and laboratory space with almost 300 parking spaces. Redept negotiated a flexible lease of the extension on behalf of Alliander and supervised the contract forming.
Redept is clear in its formulation and pays attention to the interests of the parties in the process. In doing so, it uses clear legal frameworks and does not neglect to discuss issues that are unclear. The result that was achieved fully met the objective and an optimisation was also achieved in respect of previous agreements in the project. The legal aspects were completed in a very satisfactory manner.
