Redept sold part of Alliander’s former office in Leeuwarden to a private healthcare party for transformation into a residential care complex. In the coming years, part of the complex will be transformed into the regional office and logistics support centre of Liander, so that the superfluous office space will no longer be needed.
The former head office of the Provincial Electricity Company Friesland will be transformed in the coming years into the regional office and logistics support center for Liander en Qirion. The complex is located in the Camminghaburen district in Leeuwarden and dates from the early 1980s. Because part of the office space became redundant, it was decided to sell. Alliander will lease back part of the office space for a short period during its own renovation. Redept arranged the sale on behalf of Alliander. This involved solving a number of special challenges. For example, the demolition and renovation for Alliander had to be aligned with the buyer’s future transformation plans and a temporary lease had to be negotiated.
This transaction is an important step for Alliander in realising a new regional office and making an important contribution to the energy transition in Friesland.
Redept is clear in its formulation and pays attention to the interests of the parties in the process. In doing so, it uses clear legal frameworks and does not neglect to discuss issues that are unclear. The result that was achieved fully met the objective and an optimisation was also achieved in respect of previous agreements in the project. The legal aspects were completed in a very satisfactory manner.
