With some considerable pride we witnessed the laying of the foundation stone of the new Holland Casino in Utrecht on Tuesday 24 September 2019.
At the start of 2015, Redept was instructed to carry out a location study for an alternative location for the casino. We concluded this intensive process at the end of 2016 with the contracting of this location on the A12.
The new Holland Casino with the design of OZ-architecten promises to be a eyecatcher for the Utrecht skyline. The new casino on the Winthontlaan will have an innovative gaming offer with 40 gaming tables and 700 fruit machines, an Experience Zone, three bars and two restaurants. The building contains some 10,000 m2 and will have more than 600 covered parking spaces. In the plinth there will be restaurant units with a view out over the Merwede Canal. The building will have a BREEAM-excellent sustainability certificate.
Great to see the building finally taking shape. Looking forward to the opening in 2021!
