On behalf of the police, Redept sold a plot of land to the municipality of Voerendaal (South Limburg). There was previously a police post located on the plot at 33 Oude Schoolstraat in Voerendaal.
The Police consists of ten regional units, a national unit and a national administrative service in which the support services are contained. This single national force replaced all former police forces and services on 1 January 2013. Around 63,000 people work for the Police.
