The Salvation Army purchased the former school building of The British School in the Netherlands on Saffierhorst
This former school building was used as a primary school by The British School in the Netherlands since 2001. Last year, The British School in the Netherlands concentrated its primary education in two other schools, namely at Vlaskamp 19 and Vrouw Avenweg 640 in The Hague.
The property is approximately 3,671 m² gross floor area and has a very spacious outdoor area.
The Salvation Army will thoroughly renovate the building for the future shelter of vulnerable women and girls.
The property was sold by Redept by means of a structured public tender with the help of Vendr.
The British School in the Netherlands is an international school for girls and boys 3-18 years old and a thriving community with more than 80 nationalities. It encourages high ambitions and challenges its students by supporting them in learning and growing into confident individuals. They offer a British and international curriculum, with General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) exams and four courses from 16 years of age: A-levels, the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program, the International Baccalaureate Career Program and BTEC qualifications.
The combination of traditional British values, educational discipline and caring and dedicated staff of the BSN provides an environment for students to prepare for a happy and successful life, regardless of the aspiration.
